Inc. Magazine recently issued the “27 Signs That You Are an Extraordinary Leader” on their website.
As an entrepreneur myself, I read through all 27 signs and was able to relate to almost every single one. The few I wasn’t 100% able to relate to opened my eyes up to the opportunities I have.
A few of my favorite signs are:
– Your focus is on team success
– You inspire others to do their best and get things done
– You are driven to make a difference.
– Your energy seems endless–you love what you do.
I encourage you to read through the article and share your favorite signs. Seek out your opportunities. Write them down and see what you need to work on. As business owners, we all feel bad because we don’t dedicate enough time to x y and z. We don’t dedicate enough time to one thing because we are multitasking and usually taking on the easier tasks thinking it will help by eliminating something from our to-do list. The list may shrink but at the end of the day, the most important tasks have not been completed.
Keep this in mind the next time you are choosing what to cross off the to-do list. This also includes Social Media. I know what you are thinking. You are trying to dodge having to sign up, let alone manage your company’s social media accounts.

I’m here to encourage you to jump on it, now! You do not have to sign up for every social site Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. Pick one that you want to start on and go from there. There’s no point in signing up to be on all these social media sites if you are not going to keep them updated let alone have enough quality content to post. You will notice if you have checked out my social sites, that Instagram is pretty much my main focus followed by Twitter [UPDATE: Periscope is my main focus as it helps create all my content for the other social networks. Learn more here]. Find the social site that works best for you and that you can commit some time to each day. Once you get into the habit it will become second nature.
Shifting gears slightly, take some time for yourself. Having a little (weekly, sometimes daily) downtime will allow you to breathe and believe it or not become more creative [see #Burnout for more]. It puts a fresh perspective on things. You already know why you are doing what you are doing, because of its what you love to do. That is also the reason why you are so successful. You put your heart and soul into the business. Only you can sell your brand the best. You have invested so much time in your business, it’s crucial for you to take time out to take care of yourself. If you don’t make the time then everything you have worked for is at stake. Sooner or later it will catch up with you.
So take a look at these 27 signs and make note of the ones that stand out the most for you. Keep them close by so you can be constantly reminded of them. Take a look at what your business needs are, and if it requires Social Media and you need help, reach out. I’m here for you.
