Fair warning: The way that you have created and scheduled your online content is about to change for the better! Prepare to be addicted to CoSchedule.
First off, what is CoSchedule you ask? CoSchedule is an all-in-one content marketing calendar where you can plan, promote and execute your marketing strategy. It is an easy to understand content calendar that really anyone can start using right away. CoShedule really makes it easy for it’s users to be able to have one place they can go to create and plan out their content.
I first heard about CoSchedule a few months back, but at the time didn’t pay any attention to it. I regret that now. I rediscovered them through a friends webinar where she showed users how she plans out her content. Can you guess what program she uses? Yup! CoSchedule! That’s when I decided to give it another look. The sign-up process was really smooth! Once I started using the calendar, everything clicked for me! I now realize how easy it is to repurpose my content. You are presented with a huge calendar for the month which will have a sample view and then you can have a blank one until you hit the little pencil icon in the upper right of each day.
That pencil will then give you the option to select your social network, tasks, blog and a few more options before moving you on to adding your content. It’s pretty much a funnel system that steers you in the right direction. Basically, a 1-2-3. In less than an hour I was able to create a week’s worth of content for my Facebook page.
Once you are all signed up I would highly recommend watching the short (5 minutes or less) video lessons as they are extremely helpful. Yes, it takes you a few extra minutes to review each lesson but let me tell you it will not only save you time later, but it will also give you a better understanding of how you can create more content out of what you already have. The social queue alone is so awesome!
Once I create a blog post (which I can do either in Coschedule or on my WordPress site using their handy plugin) I use the social queue to set up content for days and weeks after. See my problem, as might be the same for you, is that I spend so much time creating the post and sharing it the day of that it’s hard to keep this up over time. Coschedule has created a “stupid easy” way to walk you through each step to make sure your content lives longer and gets the attention it deserves.
Adding social media posts to your calendar is so easy now. Until recently, I really didn’t plan out my social media posts! Shocking, right? Since I plan everything else. Now I can plan weeks and months out without feeling like there’s a huge weight on my shoulders. In fact, I was able to lay out-out my social media posts for the next 3 months!
Take a look at the video below to get a better idea of how the program works. I, for one, can’t believe how much this has helped me create and plan out my content.
