Our page grew from about 2,000 members to about 115,000 with doing lives. It allowed us to connect to our audience… we also sell product from the lives
In May, I experimented with near daily livestreams on my Page, not just in the group. The livestreams led to new email sign ups and FB group members, and more engagement.
Now how did you scale that – did you focus on the membership site building first, wait for it to hit a certain number before moving onto the subscription box?
I learned that FB wants to own the online video space over YouTube. So when we go live, Facebook rewards you with more organic traffic.
My friend’s mother even saw my videos in her feed TWICE last month. I thought it was weird, but she actually is in my target market, so it wasn’t so random.
Angelica Miller Thanks. It helps me increase my consistency. I’m like “Micki imagine having a store in a great location (online in our cases) but er’time somebody walks by the store looks closed. It’s open (website, telephone, etc.) but it looks closed. Look open, Micki! Go live and look open! Be the store handing out samples in front getting all of the people to come in and shop!”
Jennifer Endsley There are definite challenges to being a family of two entrepreneurs. Like the fact that I have to hire child care if I want to attend a business event, and sometimes they don’t show up.
But it’s all good; this conversation has gotten my wheels turning and I’m making notes!
Erin Michael Miller Ask for ideas so we can learn from everyone.
How about talking about how your husband deals with the kids while you’re working? What you do when they’re sick? How you say no to people who encroach on your family and work time?
Micki Webb sweet! And I forgot to mention this today on the show but I’ve added a few of these type videos on the Hey Ed sales page which really looks good!
I got a call today from a daycare owner who found me from my business Instagram page. It’s funny because that’s where I have the most videos. so you’re right about engagement!
I’m sure it is!! I feel your current and new customers really like the interaction with you. It also gives them a chance to see if your someone that would fit into their everyday lives. Your personality, integrity and so much more can come through with your live streams or videos and it builds a better relationship with your audience.
I’m not going to lie….It’s scary out here in these streets! LOL…BUT we do it SCARED anyway :-). I’m happy I finally got out of my own way. I think my audience likes it and will receive a lot of benefit.
Lol! Oh Jennifer, we’re saving you a seat in detention!
Consistency is the key.
I’ll be doing it Tuesday and Wednesday. Every day was too much for me right now.
I love that you found what works for you at this time and are running with it
Yes! Thank you!
This is so helpful
I will only go to detention if it’s like The Breakfast Club
It’s helped get group sign ups, sell books, and more people on my email list.
Right relationship building takes time

Your facebook lives are EPIC, Damon!
5 days a week, committed until the end of the month. I am live streaming about strategies to save time, money and energy while building your business.
Sorry – my 9-5 IT internet just died so I was kicked out.
It was brilliant!
Our page grew from about 2,000 members to about 115,000 with doing lives. It allowed us to connect to our audience… we also sell product from the lives
That was amazing Damon
Amazinng Damon!

Love that! Nice work!
Ed Troxell Creative Thanks!
EVERYONE needs to be watching Damon and Deco Exchange. EVERYONE.
Damon – sent us a link to the Deco Exchange.
The larger audience led to membership groups of about 1800 members, and a subscription box… we send out just under 900 a month at $55 a box!
Now how did you scale that – did you focus on the membership site building first, wait for it to hit a certain number before moving onto the subscription box?
We should have you on the show by the way lol

It’s like foot traffic for a store that has a great location. Only we pay no rent to go live! People come by like 👀

I love the foot traffic reference! I never thought of it that way.

30 days of lives really helped build up the motivation and got people showing up, now any time we’re leave we see about 1200 viewers the whole time
Damon consistency IS king!
Let’s all go live on Damon’s page 🙂
😂Jennifer is trying to jack Damon’s page!
Jennifer is trying to jack Damon’s page!
For many of us, we’ll get more replay viewers than live viewers – it’s all good to me!
Hahaha, that’s how I feel about the FIRST time I was your guest on EdTalkTV! I was SO OUT OF PRACTICE at that time. hahahah
Woohoo – there are 8 of us on here now
Nope, 9 people
I gotta figure out an actual schedule and content for lives.
I’m a guest TOMORROW!!!!
Ed Talk TV – Mon – Fri at 4pm PT.
I like the idea of telling them to press see first, I have been telling them to like the page and share to their page for easier access to watch later
Why not do it?!
AND you get to talk to Ed Troxell
What would I even talk about?! 🤔🤷♀️😳
Good idea on the book titles!
What would I even talk about?!
answerthepublic.com is a great resource as well. You just put in a word and it will generate all the questions people google with that term
I have to get over wanting everything to be perfect before going live!
Erin Michael Miller talk about being a mother while working on a company/business
I can definitely figure out content for my lives, but I mean what would I talk about if I came on your show?
Erin Michael Miller just talk about you, the kids, and life. Scheduling, dealing with customers, tips/tricks for the entrepreneur …
That part of it is actually my biggest challenge! Maybe I could ask the viewers for help. 🤪🤣

Erin Michael Miller look at you! Go girl
Erin Michael Miller Love that and what a great mini-series you could do around that – the challenges around both parents being entrepreneurs
Jennifer Endsley I’ve learned if I speak up and ask questions, I usually get some good sparks.
Erin Michael Miller oh that is awesome!
Erin Michael Miller Absolutely!
Erin Michael Miller Yes! Love that! Ask them. Be open with them on what you’re struggling with and if they struggle too? It’s relatible

Content is more valuable than a perfect look.
We’re all just friends hanging out … we want to know about others. We’re all nosey …
Sometimes misery loves company … in this group, there’s no misery. Just friends hanging out.
I stalk Damon! 😂

And you’re doing such a great job!
How do you feel about all that?
I’m not going to lie….It’s scary out here in these streets! LOL…BUT we do it SCARED anyway :-). I’m happy I finally got out of my own way. I think my audience likes it and will receive a lot of benefit.
Janicka Arthur right? lol. Yup! We gotta do it afraid and see what happens! 😉
Oh yeah! I’m so happy you’re doing this and everyone appreciates you for it 🙂
I think live steaming allows students the ability have more connections.
