Yes, we discussed this a little before, but I left a community not long ago because the engagement was low. I tried to justify the low monthly fee for MONTHS, but I didn’t really connect with many, just 1-2 people out of 600+ …. It really is all about the right fit, and that’s OK to feel groups out!
Yes! I don’t mind if it’s for a finite time like for a course but for a foevah group, nah. I think you strike a perfect balance in Hey Ed with initiating posts, letting us post questions etc. and encouraging us to interact with each other. It never feels forced. When people drop off then show back up we’re genuinely like “Hey! ”
Yes; the recommendation I got from someone who does social media marketing professionally is don’t post anything online you wouldn’t want on the front page of a newspaper.
I want to feel a genuine connection with the person/group and feel good about contributing to their livelihood. So to a certain extent I need to feel aligned with what they are putting out into the world.
Yes! So important to find a good fit from *both* sides. Not everyone is your ideal client. The best value you can give someone might be “no,” or a referral.
Happy Monday!!!
Interesting …. what does that even do? Would it boost your comment to the top or something?
Hi 👋🏽
“Ghetto fabulous” — something friends used to say, lol
Free marketing advice! This is why I love random news!!
Yes, Micki! Jump on! Then y’all can also discuss future cooking show options, too, lol
I was driving. Couldn’t.
Erica Rodriguez Maier Were you stalking me?!
Yes, all
Yes, but struggle to find the right fit for me and my business!
Any specific requirements you’re looking for that I might be able to keep an eye/hear out for?

Just left a free community for the same reason
Crazy right? It applies to even free communities because it’s like what’s the point?
Great topic. I love to support people but ive wasted a lot of money online
I hear ya! And it’s hard.
Too much engagement is hard too. If there are too many posts to keep up with I find it hard to connect.
And then ive spent a few good dollars
Driving. Talking to my Microphone.
Gotcha! Drive safe!
True Mindy. I like how Nicole manages that … letting just a few posts come in at a time ….
Pressured engagement is undesirable to me
That’s why I make sure everyone who joins Hey Ed knows, this is not a requirement – it is a place you can go when you need it.

Micki Webb, Special Education Consultant good! It’s a balance I want to keep within the group so that’s good to hear.

Hi Micki! Hi All!Lots of research. Replays from you and others. Because of convenient time.
Great ideas.
Course, membership community, website services.
It’s a delicate balance and you have to weigh out the options
Yes, you have to connect with he person you’re following
Hey all, missing you all. So busy with the marketplace
Hm not sure. Maybe inviting a lot of negativity.
Supposed to be smily face as am working
Ah I like that
Hey Ed! Catching the replay.
Hmm, upvoting/downvoting seems sort of primitive in comparison to reactions and comments…
It’s really tough to follow threads and chains of thought when comments are out of order.
Ah, reworking product copy to apply to your own business… good exercise!
This is tough for me right now. I’m torn between needing more guidance and having information overload.
