I thought they might have fixed the language issue but it is still the same on the new version. I have my language set to UK English but when I type a word such as behaviour it underlines it in red because it only understands behavior, the USA spelling.
Phil Riley yeah, Facebook has a lot of tidying up to do that’s for sure.
It’s horrible on desktop. I can’t even get my self to use it anymore.
this new facebook is rubbish sluggish in comparison to what we have and not looking forward to it changing to somat thats basically crap!
Jon Summer I hear you. I try to stay off the desktop version as much as possible right now. they will provide a better update soon!
Everytime it makes me sign in to the new set up I have problems with screen jumping and and if I have to correct my spelling it joins words up so you have to go back and forth to space and delete mixed up words? And, can only use one emoji at a time? Unlike this?
Jon Summer oh no! yeah, I’m hoping that they see how many people are unhappy with it and all the glitches so they can fix some of it.
I should have the option of rejecting going to the new page instead having to switch back mysel though! CHOICES!
New Facebook looks shite , it looks childish and cheap …… as of now i’ll be using Facebook a lot less
why you change look as we get use of previous/ and why is timeline middle part smaller then left and right parts? not looks good at all, amateurish.. and it’s not new look, it was similar about 10 years ago..
The shortcuts bar on the left took ~30% of the screen.
The messenger on the right is also about ~30% of the screen.
Then you have the top bar taking ~15% percent of the screen. Below this top bar, contains a list of your friends taking about ~20% of the screen.
What are you left with for the news feed? damn sucks, right ..
I suggest this can be re-adjusted such that all of those tabs/shortcuts and functionalities be collapsible or can be hidden.
Once hidden, the news feed automatically adjust to reclaim the space.
Facebook has lost the point of its origin and what it has been popular of:
Seeing what your “friends” are into, videos, pictures, useless advertisements, upcoming movies and what not…
2020 new look is “SCREEN-HOGGING FAT-FINGER GARBAGE. The IDIOTS that designed it should be FIRED.
I don’t mind it since I don’t use FB that much, seem more minimalistic and although it sorta now resembles twitter, that ain’t too bad as long as it doesn’t continue to look more and more like it. An improvement I’d like to see is easy exit/close/cancel buttons on all the left side lists of groups and such, I wanna tailor FB for the current likes and interests that suit me now, then it’d be that little bit more like reddit and discord that I want to see. And then Facebook would be that more useful to me.
right under these comments are a bunch of live videos grouped by three per row. It looks messy. I have an idea. Make another ICON tab up the top banner called sports centre/media centre and have the videos in grouped rows and maybe the top of the page can have a NOW PLAYING video while the rest are group by paragraphs of 6 (with arrows on both sides to toggle through them, in category) the idea is like having a “sports bar area” to facebook. Thats all for now.
