Hello, and welcome to Ed talk TV conversations worth having. I’m your host Ed Troxell if we’ve never met before, be sure to say hello even on the comments are sorry, even on the replay down in the comments. So if this is your first time joining, welcome, I am your host. And I am hoping that you will get a lot out of this episode, including the little glitch glitches. You know, it’s like broadcasting so it is what it is. But I wanted to let you guys know who I am.
If you’re brand new to me, digital marketer, your digital marketer, helping you show up online in being able to organically increase your engagement without paid ads. That’s basically what I do in all the projects that I work on, including helping all my clients inside the head network. You can learn all about that at hand network. com. More on that later. But today, what we want to talk about is a feature that you can use to help you determine what the market is wanting from you because let’s face it, we all struggle with What we should create next? What is it that the market wants from us?
We think that we know and then we go through and we produce it. You know, like, let me just ask how many of us can relate to this, even if you’re watching the replay, let me know. We think we know what the market wants, we go ahead and we create it because it’s the best idea ever. And then we put it out there. And then it’s just crickets.
Anybody, be honest, be honest, I’m raising my hand. Because all of us go through that at some point or another. And it’s okay. It’s part of the growing pains, right? We have to be able to look at what it is that the market wants from us. And the only way we can do that is by testing right? And asking, so how many of you are utilizing social media for your business? That’s a loaded question. And that’s okay. Let me know even if you’re watching the replay, how many of you are utilizing social media for your business? Now let’s take it a step further.
And let me ask you How many of you are using a Facebook business page? Not your personal profile, there is a difference, your Facebook business page for your business? Not just that you have one, but are you actually utilizing it for your business?
Let me know even if you’re watching the replay, or for some of you, you’re listening to this as an audio, and that’s okay, too. You can comment on Facebook or wherever you’re at for this. What I want you to understand is that social media is a powerful tool. It’s a powerful free tool that you can utilize for your business. And yes, it’s free.
And yes, it can be easy because you just sign up for a profile. And then you click on Create a post and then you post something, right? But it’s a lot more complicated than that. And there are so many other factors that go into that, especially when you put it to a business level.
So don’t just think that oh, I don’t need hire someone to help me or I don’t need to have an expert help me because you know, I have Judy’s daughter down the street helping her, she’s 15. And she knows all of this. No offense, but Judy’s daughter is 15. And she is on social media for personal reasons. She’s not utilizing it for business. So that’s something that we all have to understand when we’re looking at social media, especially from a business owner’s perspective. Because this comes up a lot when I’m talking with clients and just people in general, is that social media is easy, can be easy.
I’m just going to back up and say it can be easy. But that is when you’re using it for personal use when it comes to business. It is a whole nother ball game. And you have to have a whole nother expertise to help you out with that, especially if you’re going for that organic reach and not trying to spend a ton of money on paid advertising.
So that’s why it’s important for you to invest in the right people that are going to help you take your business to the next level. So when you’re using social media, understand that they have options that are features that are built-in, that can help you for free, grow your business and understand what the market wants from you. And the way you do that is through creating posts. Now I’m going to show you the actual how-tos right now.
That’s something I’m going to do inside the head network. But for now, what I want to share with you is the one feature that you should start utilizing if you’re not already on your Facebook business page. So if you don’t have a business page on Facebook, you better go get one after this episode, because it is crucial for your business to have one. So when you’re on your Facebook business page, what types of posts are you normally sharing?
Let me know in the comments. Even if you’re watching the replay. I want to know what kind of post types are you sharing? Is it text only? are you sharing photos? are you sharing links? are you sharing gift images? are you sharing polls Are you asking questions like, what are the things that you’re typically doing on your business page? And are you seeing that work for you or not?
Now, I asked you these questions one so I can understand where you’re at with your business on social media, but to also for you to start thinking about what you could or maybe need to adjust doing for your current setup on social media. So for this purpose for this episode, to keep it short and sweet for you, what I want you to start doing if you’re not already doing that already, is start utilizing the polls feature on your business page.
Polls are a great feature that will allow you to get exactly the information you want from your audience. You can simply ask questions, and they can quickly engage with your post and therefore you’re not only getting the answers that you are hoping for or that you need, but you’re also getting that engagement, which therefore is increasing your organic reach for your post. So understand that it’s not just about getting the right answer. It’s about getting that right answer. And creating that connection with your audience and taking that conversation to a whole nother level.
By doing all of this, you start to increase your productivity, you start saving your money, and really you get your time back because now you’re not guessing. You’re actually getting feedback right there from your audience from your target market at that moment, so let me know if you’ve been using the polls feature and how that’s been going for you. And if you haven’t, start utilizing that and check in with me, let me know how that goes for you because I want to be able to connect with you and see what it does for you and your business.
So let me know even on the replay for anybody who’s curious and wants to see this in action and more of a tutorial, I will be going over this inside the head network that will be happening on Friday, during our weekly call every week, we have a face to face call. And so that way we can all see each other and connect, and also share how things are going. So that’s where I will be showing off this feature, among other things, but this is the specific feature in there. And this is where you go to get help with your business every day, all day, whenever you need it. So there’s that. I hope that this was helpful to you. And again, let me know if you’re utilizing this feature on your Facebook business page.
If not, start using it. Try it for a week and then circle back and let me know how it goes. Send me a message, drop a comment on any of the recent posts. I would love to hear from you. And until next week, or until I see you on Friday inside the network. I hope that you have a wonderful day and I will talk to you guys later. Take care
