Periscope is the latest craze in the Social Media world.
Now you can reach more people than ever before through Live broadcasting with the Periscope app. Of course, being Live means you are in the spotlight and anything can happen. That is why you want to know what you are going to talk about before you hit that record button. You also want to know a few tips for making sure your broadcast is crisp, clear, and to the point. Below are our tips including how you should be thinking about how you can repurpose your scopes and use it elsewhere.
Periscope Check List:
Pre-scope:
- Know your topic
- Make a bulleted list of the key points
- Think about:
- Gear
- Background
- Sound
- Lighting
During Scope:
- Leave 1-2 minutes from the start for people to join in
- Introduce yourself
- Deliver your content
- Encourage conversation
- Ask/ answer questions
After the scope:
- Download scope to your device (this is an automatic setting in Periscope)
- Edit down the video in iMovie or a video editing program of your choice
- Upload that video to YouTube so it can be found
- Embed/ link to that video on your website (put it in a blog post)
- Use that edited video for different blog and social media posts
- Promote your website link to the video (NOT the direct YouTube link)
- Create all the content in one place (Periscope) and use across the board
