In this session I talk about remembering why you started your business or why you are even running a business. I talk about the importance of reflecting on what you have done rather than just looking at what you need to do. If you make the time to reflect on what you have accomplished you will see how far you have come and will know what you need to do in order to move forward.

I go over my reflection on my first business MIX IT UP Magazine and the amazing time I had creating it. I had forgotten how much fun it was until I started to look back at my old YouTube videos. What’s funny is my magazine started with an idea, a Nolo Press book, and the courage to reach out on MySpace too, at the time, VH 1’s number 1 artist. Towards the end of the video, we started to talk about writing a book and telling our stories. I am a huge fan of sharing stories especially ones from those who are older than us. We all have a story to tell and it’s up to us to share it! I hope you enjoy the video and remember, the reason we embed the YouTube video here is so that you can skip ahead. Don’t ever feel like you have to watch the whole video. Periscope is designed to be a live broadcast that really turns into a conversation which can go on. It is not meant to be a 30-second clip.
