Iโve been dealing with burn out recently because for me I go out and I try my hardest to get clients but people in my area never want to pay for anything theyโre always trying to get a discount or get shit for free so I started to feel burnt out and frustrated with my business
Lack of sleep is big for me. I’ve asked my employer to take my company cell phone back so I’m not on call. They said no. If I work 50 hours a week (salaried with no overtime), I meet my boss’s bare minimum level of employee engagement.
Ed Troxell Creative Right?! Yes, I don’t get it. If my employees get into the habit where they work 45+ hours a week for a month, I’m telling them they need to take a day off (paid but no PTO deduction). No one should treated like they’re owned by a company, especially with today’s labor shortage. Hence, my moving right along …
My area is September
Thank you, I appreciate that! ๐
We didn’t have tablets and phones, and we did just fine.
WTF they Smoking
Then they actually have to think. Yay.
I am honestly shocked they were ever allowed in the first place … can be an incredible distraction without hardfast rules.
Cell phones are a safety issue with all the bs going on
I did
Do you like me [Yes] or [No] my school note

Thank you for sharing that with us as that is the real truth for us all โ some days are better than others, but that frustration is real for sure!
My last day on my job was August 3rd and someone emailed me work on August 6, so yes I checked my work email because I still had access! LOL
Too often
Way too much!!!
2x per day
And do you do time blocking meaning you have specific times of the day that are consistent?
Each day is very different, but then I time block each day otherwise nothing gets done.
I really like Leo

#replay Totally burned out at my 9-5. It’s affecting my business and school.
So ready to be in either a new job or completely on my own by the end of this year.
I’d tell that employer, “you don’t own me. Let me check my email NOW!”
I check mine WAY too often.

Ed Troxell Creative Ask Justin Powell – he can tell you how this helps him not get burned out. Or just deal with the stupidity
me..burnout from full time job
Oh yeah, full-time and side gig is a lot of pressure! Be sure to make some time (every little bit helps) for yourself on a regular basis. ๐
