I am in the middle of my audio book, “Start with WHY” which you can find in my Amazon store. What’s great about this book is it constantly asks you, “why are you doing this?” Why are you doing x,y, z should be the question you ask when starting something let alone selling something. “Start with WHY” uses brands you know and are familiar with Apple, Harley Davidson, Tivo, and more. The book talks about how all the different brands have different processes for their products. How each help reach their customers, their people, and how those people are willing to wait for their products.

I was driving home tonight when I heard the part about “people don’t buy what you do, they buy why do it.” The key to why! That’s what people want to know right? I highly recommend reading or listening to the audio version of the book. It will open your eyes and shift your mindset.

 

Another book that I’m in the middle of is called “2 Billion under 20” which is also in my Amazon store. I love this book as it takes you into the lives of others who are working hard and making something of themselves. This book was actually recommended to me by a good friend of mine as her husband actually sat next to Stacy on a recent plane trip. By now you might be wondering why I am in the middle of these different reads? Basically I’m doing my research. I am learning and soaking up as much knowledge as possible. Learning keeps you moving forward. It keeps you up to date and gets you to think outside the box. I’m here to help you guys think outside the box. Its my job to know as much as possible so that I can push you to think differently. Again, this book is laid out for quick, short reads each night before bed.

When thinking about what you’ve learned and how you can use it in your social media strategy ask yourself why are you are learning it? Take that information and share it out by commenting through Periscope, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Commenting helps your be part of the online community and that’s what social media is all about, right? Being part of the community. It’s all about that teamwork! Teamwork equals success! You can get to where you want to go as long as you have the vision, drive, and the people in your life that are willing to help you. Engage with each other. Share best practices and what is working for you as well as what’s not working for you. So “Start with WHY.”
