In this episode, we talked about realizing your potential is everything for your personal growth! It’s through that personal growth where you start brainstorming new ideas and realize you can start a business online. Sarah talks about her first product which came from being a mom and seeing a need in the market. We also talk about selling on social media, specifically Instagram, and how people are watching you – in a not so creepy way, ha!
What’s the best career advice you have ever received?
Clarity comes from action. No amount of thinking about will give you the answer. You have to go out, try it and either learn a lesson or keep going because you figured something out.
What is your proudest career accomplishment and why?
Not having a website for the longest time, but having people reach out to me about what I was doing and how I could help them, by simply showing up on social media consistently. I then had a client of my own do the same thing and landed her first client, so that felt awesome to just be reaffirmed, ok this works, you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars or cold call a list to start an online business.
What has been the hardest career moment and how did you overcome it?
Deciding to leave a 6-figure job as a single mom and go out on my own with uncertainty, inconsistent income, and impostor syndrome. I finally got to the point where the fear of missing out on my potential become bigger than the fear of missing out on the stability.
